We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable Lunchtime Support Assistant to work in our Infant and Junior Schools.  This position involves the supervision of children both in the dining area and in the play areas to ensure that they have an enjoyable and sociable lunchtime experience as well as orderly conduct, welfare and safety of pupils during school lunch breaks.

This temporary role is dependant on school funding and will be reviewed in the Summer Term.

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

  • Experience working within an education setting (Highly Desirable)
  • School based references from the last 2 years (Desirable)
  • A DBS on the update service or happy to complete a new one (Required)

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy e.g. through GCSE qualification in English and Maths or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level.
  • previous childcare experience.
  • a proven ability to work on their own initiative.
  • a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
  • the ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
  • a can-do attitude.
  • flexible and a team player.

HOURS:

  • The role is term-time only (39 weeks per year) 1.5 hours per day for up to 5 days a week : 7.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 11:45 to 13:15

SALARY:

  • Surrey PS3 range (FTE £19,313 - £20,257)
  • 7.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, £3,461 - £3,696 per annum Pro Rata
  • £11.83 - £12.63 per hour
