1 year fixed term, with potential for extension

Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Salary: £17,686–£19,860 per annum, pro rata (30 hours p/w) (full-time equivalent: £25,319–£27,926), depending on hours worked and experience

Hours: Term-time only (38 weeks), up to 30 hours per week, 08:45–15:30 (includes a 45 minute unpaid break). Start and finish times can be flexible if required.

Contract: Fixed Term until 31 August 2027

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive Learning Support Assistant to work alongside our Specialist Teacher in the Inclusion Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils who benefit from a more personalised, nurturing approach to learning.

Role Description: You will need to

Support adaptive teaching delivered by the Specialist Teacher

Work with individuals and small groups

Build positive relationships that support emotional regulation and confidence

Help deliver targeted interventions

Strengthen links between the Hub and mainstream classrooms

Person Specification (Requirements):

Essential

GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.

Previous experience working with children.

Ability to work on your own initiative.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.

Ability to use relevant technology/equipment.

A positive, flexible, team‑focused attitude.

A DBS on the update service or willingness to complete a new one.

Desirable / Highly Desirable

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Early Years Practitioner qualification.

Recent school‑based references (within the last 2 years).
