Examinations Officer
20 hours a week, 37.6 weeks (term time) plus up to 237 additional hours to be worked at peak times.
Core hours to be worked over at least 3 days a week, with at least two days to be worked until 4.30pm.
Salary PS7 (£32,512 to £34,654 FTE). Starting pro-rata salary £19,871

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Examinations Officer, who will be required to oversee the whole school examination process, working closely with Heads of Department, the Senior Leadership Team and other appropriate staff, organising timetables through to planning and booking exam rooms and Exam Invigilators. You will also be responsible for ensuring all exam papers are delivered to site, stored correctly and distributed in the appropriate manner, as well as the processing and issuing of examinations results in line with the examination board requirements.
This is an important role within the School and so we are looking for someone who is flexible and able to manage increased workload at certain times of the year. There is a requirement for the post holder to work approximately 40 hours per week during the main examination period (Mid-May to end of June) and be available during results time in August. The salary for this role includes 237 additional hours to cover this work.
The successful candidate will have a high standard of communication (verbal and written), meticulous attention to detail, excellent time management and planning, competent ICT skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous experience is preferred but not essential. However, the successful applicant will need the skills to organise a complex process and manage a team of Exam Invigilators.
